Their vibrant color works and playful interpretation of today’s popular culture, carry on in this exhibition presentation, symbolized their dynamic adventure for their past project series. Both artists are keen to continue their art collaboration in the future.
Mahaputra Vito and Rebellionik were brought together by social networks six years ago. Their friendship enriched by their similar interests and habit of travelling.
In 2015 – 2017, invitations from art communities across the nation gave Vito the idea of portable art. This led to their first project, a residency program initiated by ONX Studio.
After the residency program, in a half year, they built a modular artwork called Echo Boomer Nomad, and still they continued to work on the portable artwork idea.
Through their networks built from Street Dealin, initiated by Gardu House, they got an opportunity to exhibit ‘Illuminoise’ at Hidden Space in Manila, Philippine, with Ultraviolla project and Echo Boomer Nomad.
MAHAPUTRA VITO & REBELLIONIK
Vito lives in between fine arts and commercial arts, he's busy doing his personal works, while doing commission works as well. From a regular boring canvas to a weird-interesting product can be his choice of medium of works. He doesn't see the lines between fine and commercial art. Vito just loves to capture anything he see, feel, hear, and experienced everyday as his subject matter.
Rony Rahadian a.k.a Rebellionik is a graphic designer who studied architecture in Parahyangan University, Bandung. He is a founder of
multi-disciplinary ONX Idea Studio in Jakarta.
His recent project was for music festival in Jakarta, The Wave of Tomorrow, where he constructed an art installation.
